SPELLING CASTING 101
Thursday, October 22, 2009
Beginners who look for spells will certainly find spells online. I have linked several spell sites to my blog in hope of someone reading this first and being saved from some very real mistakes. Please be aware that spells can and do backfire. There's more to this than chanting over a few lit candles, like ethics and consequences. Revenge spells come to mind. How would you like to be the recipient of someone else's version of justice? Maybe you angered someone who has decided that you deserve to be afflicted with a lifelong STD. If you don't care about the other person, perhaps I can convince you with self-preservation. Evidently, with enough knowledge gleaned online to be dangerous, a young woman did exactly that. With only self- righteousness to fuel her thoughts, the spell was cast. And Viola! The person became inflicted with the STD. But, to the total dismay of the caster, she also had contracted the very same STD in the same time frame. Please don’t think that these results are isolated incidents, because they’re not. Now, if not for them but for yourself, please think twice before doling out your brand of justice.
Honoring the animals who nourished us
For those of us who occasionally still consume meat, take the time to honor those animals whose lives have been taken to give us life. Local animal shelters always need supplies. Call and ask what you can do. Think of how much money could be raised for various charities if every pagan donated a total of $10.00 a year. One dollar could be earmarked for the ASPCA 1-888-334-4441. Another dollar could be for the World Wildlife Fund who helps endangered species. Your coven or group could combine your monies into one check or money order to save on bookkeeping costs. I will continue to list my favorites as the year progresses. Like you, I assume that these are all legitimate charities.
Let me and others know about your favorite charity and the reason you find it so special. Blessed Be.
